Intercom and Buzzer Installation
Intercom and buzzer installation for Toronto apartment buildings, condos, offices and shops lets you see visitors on video and let them in from your phone, wherever you are. Old telephone entry panels need a landline and ring one number; we install video intercoms that ring an app or cell phone and open the same lock as your fobs.
Which intercom fits
- Apartment and condo buildings: a resident directory on the panel, each suite ringing its own phones, and a directory the property manager updates online.
- Offices and shops: a video buzzer at the front or back door that rings the front desk or staff phones, so deliveries are not left on the step.
- Duplexes and triplexes: one panel at the shared entrance with a button and an app for each unit.
Whatever the building, ask for a camera that sees faces rather than foreheads, a keypad for delivery codes, and a lit panel so callers can read the directory at night.
What we install
The door station, an electric strike or magnetic lock, a power supply with battery backup, and a network or cellular connection, so no phone line is needed. We set up the app on each phone that should ring and test every call path before we leave.
Replacing an old buzzer
Existing wire and door hardware can often stay, which keeps the job small. Dropping the landline an old entry panel needs also ends its monthly phone bill. For lobbies and garages, add akey fob door entry system; for offices, seeaccess control systems. Single houses usually need avideo doorbell installation instead, and a lobbysecurity camera records everyone who was buzzed in.
